Thank you to everyone who supported ICDC Surrey in 2013. We had a successful social event of an afternoon tea cruise on the River Wey in the summer, and a very well attended education afternoon in May. We look forward to hosting a social event in 2014, and at least one educational event.
In order for ICDC Surrey to grow, we need new members. If you have an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) and you live ANYWHERE in Surrey, we'd love to meet you. Contact one of the committee members through our contact page. If you haven't picked up a patient information pack and an ICD registration card, make sure you do so at your next hospital check-up.
We ended 2013 on a bit of a high, by being granted £300 in the Lloyds Bank Community Awards. This is wonderful news for a small charity such as ours, run entirely by volunteers with input from NHS staff based at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, who contribute their time outside of their regular NHS duties.
So, it's a big thank you to our supporters, staff, volunteers, committee members, and of course to Lloyds Bank. And a fabulous heart healthy 2014 to you all.
